Muhlhauser Barn
About
The Muhlhauser Barn is a beautiful facility for weddings, reunions and other celebrations. The barn was once a part of the Muhlhauser-Windish Brewing Company. It previously stood on the grounds of Ohio Casualty in Fairfield and was re-constructed and restored at Beckett Park in the Township thanks to the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty and the Muhlhauser Family.
The barn is available to rent through West Chester Township April-early November each year. The barn does not have air conditioning or heat and temperatures cannot be controlled.
The barn features:
- Space for up to 220 people
- Tables and chairs for guests to use inside only
- A kitchen prep-area that includes refrigerator and freezer
- An open loft area
- Men’s and women’s restrooms
- The Christian Moerlein Gazebo, which makes a lovely setting for a small wedding ceremony and/or wedding photos
Renting Muhlhauser Barn
Muhlhauser Barn, 8558 Beckett Road, is perched on the edge of a fishing pond with large doors opening to a deck offering beautiful views. The barn’s rustic charm and the scenic backdrop of Beckett Park combine to create a charming setting for any event.
The seasonal rental facility is owned and operated by West Chester Township and can accommodate up to 220 guests for wedding receptions, family reunions or other types of gatherings.
Because the barn has no air conditioning and no heating, the space is only made available to rent between April 1 and November 15. Temperature inside the barn can be moderated through the use of ceiling fans, operable windows and three sets of double doors. A small gas fireplace provides ambiance.
All food served at the Muhlhauser Barn must be prepared off-site with the exception of outdoor grilling in designated areas.
